Precautions: 

• Do not use a thermometer for anything other than measuring body temperature with a human ear. Do not use if you have ear diseases such as otitis externa or otitis media, and if the ear canal is wet, for example, after bathing.
• If the child has cold ears, wait until they are warm before taking a measurement.
• Insert the probe naturally along the ear canal during use. Do not force the probe into the ear canal during use.

• Use at an ambient temperature of 10 to 40 degrees. Accurate measurements may not be possible if sudden temperature changes occur or if you hold the device tightly for a long time.
