ITO EN Oi Ocha Matcha Green Tea Powder, instant tea from Uji Prefecture (Kyoto) with a rich taste for making a delicious and healthy drink. Made from powdered high-quality sencha tea leaves with the famous matcha powder. Matcha is made from powdered tender, young, uppermost leaves of a tea bush. Matcha tea leaves are not exposed to direct sunlight 3 weeks before harvesting, which gives them a mild taste and less bitterness.
To prepare the powder, tea leaves are steamed using the "asamushi" method - this is easy steaming, which preserves the original aroma and astringency of tea. Powdered tea contains about 10 times more nutrients and 100 times more antioxidants than any leafy green tea.
